At first glance, The Hug may look like a beautiful abstract piece. But hidden within its curves is something much more meaningful: two people embracing one who is still here, and one who has passed.
The inspiration for this piece came from a dream I had about my mom. In the dream, I hugged her, and the embrace felt so incredibly real so close, so warm, and so familiar. For a moment, it felt as though the distance between this world and the next had disappeared.
That feeling became The Hug.
The design is intentionally abstract. You may not immediately see two people embracing, and that is what makes this piece so unique. Like a dream or a memory, its meaning reveals itself slowly. Two bodies come together in one embrace, connected by a love that exists beyond physical presence.
The gold and silver details represent the two different bodies two separate souls brought together in one embrace. The silver highlights flowing through the gold create a subtle contrast, symbolizing two worlds coming together while remaining distinct.
Crafted from brass with an 18K gold-plated finish, the 15 mm pendant hangs from a 16-inch chain with a 4-inch extension, finished with an O-shaped chain and lobster clasp.
